Startups (Series B) and scale-ups (Series C to pre-IPO) face intense pressure to grow rapidly while building the leadership capacity required to sustain that growth. Our Startup and Scale-up Organizational Development Consulting services are tailored to support founders and executive teams during this critical phase—helping them lead effectively now while preparing for what’s ahead. While much of our work is conducted virtually, we’re often onsite one to two days per week to ensure hands-on support.


CEO Coaching is the cornerstone of our work with startups. We support CEOs in examining their mindsets and evolving their leadership to match the scale and complexity of their companies. In periods of volatility, crisis, and rapid expansion, we help CEOs navigate pressure, stay grounded, and elevate their effectiveness—both operationally and emotionally.


We also focus on Senior Leadership Team Effectiveness. High-growth companies need senior teams that are aligned, cohesive, and capable of making decisions quickly and collaboratively. We help leadership teams build the trust and clarity needed to operate as one unit. This includes guiding structural transitions—such as evolving from a co-founder-led model to a functionally organized executive team—as well as addressing interpersonal or co-founder conflict directly and constructively.


We offer Leadership Assessments that are designed to both enhance current performance and unlock scale potential. These assessments go well beyond traditional 360 feedback—they provide a clear point of view on a leader’s readiness to scale with the organization. While our goal is always to accelerate growth and development, we also surface when a leader may not be on a trajectory to keep pace with the company’s evolution. Our assessments typically include an in-depth interview, stakeholder debriefs, 360 feedback interviews, and a validated psychometric tool such as the Hogan assessments. Results are shared through thoughtful, direct feedback conversations and often serve as a powerful foundation for executive coaching.


Most engagements also include formal or informal Executive Coaching for senior leaders. These coaching relationships focus on helping executives boost performance, expand their leadership range, and prepare for the demands of future scale. Our decades of experience working with large organizations allow us to help startup leaders adopt enterprise-level thinking earlier in their growth journey.


In many startups, HR is operationally strong but lacks a voice at the strategic level. We often serve as a Strategic HR Advisor, helping to define and drive people strategies that align with the company’s growth trajectory. From organization design to talent planning, we bring the strategic HR perspective needed at the leadership table.


We also offer Board Effectiveness services. These engagements typically involve assessing board structures, processes, and relationships. Through confidential interviews and in-depth feedback delivery, we help boards increase their impact and improve dynamics, all with a balance of candor and empathy.
